Virtually no one participated. Probably because JTS students don’t like to argue, or critical theory goes over their heads (they have no experience with it because JTS doesn’t offer it), but mostly because translating a language no one has had experience with is a poor pedagogical tool.
You guys really need to get into the 21st century and away from this “close textual” myopic nonsense. It’s not engaging. We’re not too stupid to understand literary theory; you’re just too stubborn to teach it.
