“Ed and I have had many a conversation about the rapport between Jews and Chinese during the holidays when Chinese joints tend to be the only thing open. Still, I would extend that feeling of being left out of the party to the diverse range of people living in any country in which the predominant religion asserts a kind of cultural hegemony.” (Emphasis mine).  

Though cutlurally resistant, and in my neighborhood, I was unable to go because it was fairly expensive.  We stuck with the traditional routine, opting for some Dong Bei in Flushing’s Fu Run.
