Why I, a Jewish man, am against the left, and instead am a Classic Liberal/libertarian Republican.
Despite people telling me I should be a democrat or a modern liberal because of the “jewish history of being left.” I offer a rebuttal, as to why Jews should not be on the left. I had this in an “ask” earlier so I thought maybe I’d like to make it reblogable for some.
I am against it because it is because of the left, including Socialism and Communism, and they are on the left not the right. Have actually been the big aggressors against Judaism. Communist Russia, Nazi Germany. Even the people in the Social-democracy of Sweden are giving many of the local jews a problem. We now have the German modern democracy banning circumcisions.
So of course I will be opposed to the left because they are opposed to us, Jews. See the right hand column in my blog I have information pertaining to this, telling how Communism and Socialism are on the left and not the right.
I’m a Classic Liberal/libertarian Republican so of course I am going to differ from the left. Most of my mothers and fathers side are Republican, some are die hard conservatives. So for us in Ohio, it’s actually more common for Jewish republicans. We have Jewish representatives who are republican, in our state legislature as well.
i see you quoted me, but i didn’t say you should be a liberal or a leftist, just that those paradigms have more precedence in jewish history.
this doesn’t explain your opposition to modern liberals, who are much closer to you than leftists
